Rules

There aren't many major rules, and none are unreasonable so please follow them. They are here for a reason and it's also just plain good manners.
There are passwords for boards connected to the main board. Please let it be known that sharing these passwords to anyone, even those on the board is a banning offense. Sometimes people are not allowed on the board anymore for breaking the rules or have other reasons to want it. You will find the passwords on the main board or you may ask any House Head for it. They will be happy to share it with you.

Don't flame. Flaming is when you post something with the sole purpose of putting someone down or hurting him or her. I don't want that kind of thing on the site and it will not be tolerated. Your post will be promptly deleted and we will send you a warning. 20 points will also be taken from your house.

NO WHINING!!!!!!! If you have a problem or suggestion, I am open to hear it, including suggested solutions to problems.

You cannot "outspell" a Professor. The Professor's word is ALWAYS Final.

I prefer the characters to be canon (from the books, in other words.)  That includes the teachers, and the students.  The only exceptions to this are first years, as they have not been introduced as yet.  I do accept original (made up) characters, but I definitely would rather have book characters when I can get them.

I would like to thank you for reading the rules.  I know there are a lot of them, and no doubt some of you are thinking: "Man, what a jerk!  Could he HAVE any more RULES?  Jeez."   As most of the students will tell you, I am far from mean, and am actually a very nice person.  But I do believe in rules and think that it's better to nip any misunderstandings in the bud rather than after someone's been playing for three months. Anyways, thank you again for reading my rules. Some people won't read them, and will break them and be warned, but I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of you in Hogwarts.

House Cup, Points and Term

Get points for your hosue by doing homework for the
classes that you sign up with at the start of the term. Each member of the winning
house will be awarded 100 Galleons and Knuts to spend in Diagon Alley.

Term will be 2 months in muggle time. At the end of
each term, the house with the most points is
awarded the house cup!

Classes

Students choose the class or classes they wish to take at the beginning of the term. They are to 'participate' in these classes every week, unless they have contacted the Headmaster or the teacher. Students are to complete each week's homework for their classes to earn house points. They may also do extra-credit work, if there is some put up. Students are not to do work for classes they are not enrolled in. If a student wishes to switch or add another class, they must first contact the Headmaster, and the Headmaster will contact the teacher of the new class they wish to take. Students who do not do their homework will lose house points and may eventually be eliminated from the class. Therefore, it is highly advised that students complete homework assignments by the time that its due, unless you have a good excuse.

Classes will only take you about 10 minutes per class once a week.

Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley is a place to shop for wizard books and other things. Its the place
to go!! There are many ways to earn money for shopping, you just have to find them. Each
student starts with 50 Galleons, 50 Sickles and
50 Knuts.

Quidditch
Quidditch Matches will consist of some kind of activity or questions for each player.
Each team will have the same things to do, Chasers will earn 10 Points for each
question right, Beaters will earn 5 Points, Keepers, 10 Points, and Seekers will earn
150 points and that ends the game.
The first Seeker to send in their 'play' gets the points for their team!
As soon as the Snitch is in, the game ends and players who have not sent in their
'plays' will not get the points or the Sickles.

Common Rooms
Common rooms are simple. There are 2 different types though. One is where you can go to learn
about each house, every can go to whatever one they want. The other one is in the Great Hall, that one
is for that House only!

School Calendar
This is located at the bottom of the opening page. You can add whatever you want to it. Teachers
will be adding when quizzes are going to be and when homework is due.
